The phone trembled in White Sabre's hand. She cussed softly as she leaned her head against the wall behind her, trying to bite away the prickling in her eyes and the fist that clenched her throat. She swallowed hard, hoping her voice wouldn't fail her, called up Cascade and raised the phone to her ear. White Sabre had left Cascade before anger could make her do or say something she regretted.
